Unlike scaled-down adult XXS or XS models, the Y10 features a purpose-built youth shell that is significantly smaller and carefully proportioned to accommodate the unique physical characteristics of children.

Designed from the ground up for developing riders, the Y10 utilizes a lightweight polycarbonate shell that helps reduce strain on growing neck muscles while maintaining HJC’s renowned standards of protection. It is constructed with a dedicated youth-specific shell and EPS liner configuration, optimized to deliver consistent impact performance across its size range.

For enhanced ventilation and riding comfort, the Y10 features a strategically engineered airflow system with three intake vents and one rear exhaust vent, efficiently channeling air through the helmet to help reduce heat buildup during rides.

The Y10’s shield provides 99% UV protection and features a scratch-resistant coating, helping safeguard young riders’ vision while maintaining a clear field of view in varying riding conditions.

Inside, comfort and hygiene are prioritized for both children and parents. The Y10’s interior is fully removable and washable, allowing for easy maintenance and long-term freshness. The liner materials meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, ensuring the textiles are tested for harmful substances and safe for skin contact. For added safety, the helmet is also equipped with emergency quick-release cheek pads.

The Y10 is secured with a traditional double D-ring retention system, providing a reliable, proven closure known for its strength, stability, and precise fit adjustment.
